The Artifact

EPAS has published The Artifact continuously for more than 35 years, though the name and intermittent volumes go back to the 1920s.  The journal features articles about the prehistory, history, ethnology, and related studies of western Texas and southern New Mexico in particular and the southwestern United States in general.  We also welcome subjects on other regions.  Contributors include both professional and avocational authors.

EPAS members receive The Artifact as part of their membership package.  Nonmembers may purchase copies from the society.

The EPAS Editorial Board edits and prepares the journal for production.  These volunteers include professional and avocational archaeologists with experience in southwestern and Mesoamerican archaeology as well as all facets of document preparation.  Finished production is by commercial printers using high quality paper and perfect binding.
